The Julie PSA | IMMO OFF | Emulator is an electronic module designed to replace the original immobilizer signal in vehicles of the PSA group. The primary function of this emulator is to simulate a correct start authorization to the engine control unit (ECU), allowing the IMMO OFF procedure to be performed. This makes it possible to start the engine in situations where the original immobilizer is defective, or for diagnostic and testing purposes in a workshop environment.

The emulator is compatible with a range of engine control units used in various Peugeot and Citroën models. Installation requires specific modifications to the memory of the ECU and is intended solely for testing and repair purposes. Permanently disabling the immobilizer system with the Julie PSA | IMMO OFF | Emulator may reduce vehicle security and may be subject to legal restrictions. Use is reserved for qualified personnel with knowledge of vehicle electronics.


Applications and functionalities:

The Julie PSA Emulator is a specialized module designed for diagnosis, testing, and repair of immobilizer systems in vehicles of the PSA group. The emulator allows replacing or bypassing the functionality of the original immobilizer (IMMO).

  • Diagnosis and disabling of immobilizer (IMMO OFF): The emulator is used to bypass or permanently disable the factory immobilizer system. This is a solution when the original IMMO components (such as key transponder, BSI module, or ECU) are defective, preventing the engine from starting. The emulator is compatible with a wide range of engine control units from the PSA group:
    • Bosch: EDC15C2, EDC16C3, EDC16C34, ME7.4.4, ME7.4.5, MEV17.4
    • Siemens/Continental: SID 201, SID 801, SID 803, SID 803A, SID 804, SID 806
    • Valeo: J34P, V34.1, V46.11
    • Sagem: S2000, SL96
    • Magneti Marelli: IAW 1AP, IAW 48P2, IAW 6LP
    • Delphi: DCM3.4, DCM3.5
  • Testing the engine control unit (ECU): Enables testing an ECU outside the vehicle (on the workbench). By simulating the IMMO signal, the ECU can be started for diagnosis without the original BSI module and key present.
  • Signal simulation: The emulator generates and sends the authorization signal required by the engine control unit (ECU) to allow engine start. It effectively replaces the signal from the original IMMO system.
  • Fault isolation: By installing the emulator, a technician can determine whether a starting problem is caused by a defect in the IMMO system. If the engine starts with the installed emulator, the fault is confirmed in the IMMO circuit.
  • Data modification: For installation, it is necessary to modify the data in the memory (EEPROM or FLASH) of the ECU. The emulator then works together with the modified software to deactivate the immobilizer.

Supported vehicle brands and applications:

This product is designed to replace the immobilizer signal in specific vehicles and control units (ECUs). Communication with the ECU is supported via CAN-bus and K-line protocols.

 

Bosch EDC15C2

The Bosch EDC15C2 is a diesel engine control unit (ECU) from the first generation Common Rail systems by Bosch. This ECU was widely used in 2.0 and 2.2 HDi and JTD engines within the PSA and Fiat groups. The EDC15C2 controls high-pressure injection, turbocharger, EGR, and immobilizer functions via K-line communication.
