The Julie Japan Korea IMMO OFF emulator is an electronic module developed to replace or disable the original immobilizer signal in specific vehicles. The primary function of this emulator is to simulate a correct signal from the IMMO system, allowing the engine control unit (ECU) permission to start the engine. This is applied during diagnostic procedures, testing the ECU, or as a temporary solution when the original immobilizer is defective.

The emulator is compatible with a selection of vehicle brands of Japanese and Korean origin, including Honda, Mazda, Suzuki, Hyundai, and Kia. Its use is intended solely for testing purposes and workshop applications. Permanently disabling the immobilizer may have legal restrictions and affect vehicle insurance. Installation and configuration of the Julie Japan Korea IMMO OFF emulator require specific technical knowledge of vehicle electronics and the respective engine control units.


Applications and functionalities:

  • Diagnosis and replacement of immobilizer (IMMO OFF): The primary application is disabling the factory immobilizer. This is a solution for situations where the original IMMO module, transponder key, or the communication between them is defective. The emulator replaces the signal from the original immobilizer, allowing the engine control unit (ECU) to authorize engine start.
    • Honda: Compatible with various ECUs from Keihin and OKI.
    • Hyundai / Kia: Support for ECUs from Kefico and Bosch.
    • Mazda: Suitable for ECUs from Denso and Mitsubishi using 93C56 or 93C66 EEPROM memory.
    • Nissan: Compatible with vehicles equipped with NATS 4 and NATS 5 systems.
    • Suzuki: Support for various ECUs from Denso and Mitsubishi.
    • Toyota / Lexus: Compatible with a range of ECUs from manufacturer Denso.
  • Testing the engine control unit (ECU): By emulating the IMMO function, the ECU can be tested independently ("on the bench"). This makes it possible to verify the correct operation of the ECU without the other components of the IMMO system needing to be present.
  • Signal simulation and fault isolation: The emulator generates a digital signal recognized by the ECU as valid authorization. This allows a technician to isolate the source of the fault. If the engine starts with the emulator, the problem lies in the original IMMO components and not in the ECU.
  • ECU memory adjustment: For correct operation, it is necessary to read and modify the contents of the memory (usually EEPROM or flash) of the ECU. The ECU is programmed to accept the unique code of the emulator.

The Julie Japan Korea Emulator is intended exclusively for use by qualified professionals for diagnostic and repair purposes. Permanently disabling the immobilizer (IMMO OFF) may affect vehicle security and car insurance conditions.
