The Julie Fiat | IMMO OFF | Emulator is an electronic module developed to simulate and replace the original immobilizer signal in vehicles of the Fiat group. The primary function of this emulator is the permanent disabling of the immobilizer (IMMO OFF), which may be necessary in case of a defective immobilizer or when replacing the engine control unit (ECU). The emulator sends a signal to the ECU that mimics the presence of a functioning, original immobilizer, allowing the engine to start without the original key transponder or immobilizer module.

This emulator is compatible with a specific range of ECU types used in various models of Fiat, Alfa Romeo, and Lancia. Installing the Julie Fiat | IMMO OFF | Emulator requires modifications to the memory of the ECU and is intended solely for diagnostic and testing purposes within a professional workshop environment. Permanently disabling the factory immobilizer may have legal restrictions and affects the vehicle's theft protection.


Applications and functionalities:

The Julie Fiat Emulator is a specialized module developed for diagnosis, testing, and repair of immobilizer systems in vehicles of the Fiat group. The emulator focuses on specific engine control units (ECU) where the original IMMO function needs to be bypassed or replaced.

  • IMMO OFF (disable immobilizer): The primary application is to deactivate the original immobilizer. This is necessary when the IMMO module, the transponder key, or the communication line is defective, or when installing a replacement ECU. The emulator is used on, among others, the following systems:
    • Magneti Marelli ECU's: IAW 4AF, IAW 4EF, IAW 59F, IAW 5AF, IAW 5NF
    • Bosch ECU's: ME7.3.1, ME7.3H4, M1.5.5, MA1.3.1
    • Delphi/Lucas ECU's: DCU3F
  • Testing engine control units (ECU): Allows checking an ECU outside the vehicle or on a test bench without the original IMMO components and keys present. The emulator simulates a correct authorization signal, enabling full testing of the ECU.
  • ECU replacement: Simplifies the use of a used ECU. Installing the emulator means the used ECU does not need to be synchronized with the vehicle's original immobilizer system.
  • Fault isolation: By bypassing the immobilizer, technicians can determine whether a starting problem is caused by the IMMO system or another fault in the vehicle.

The Julie Fiat Emulator is intended solely for use by professional technicians for diagnostic and repair purposes. Permanently disabling the immobilizer (IMMO OFF) may affect vehicle security and car insurance conditions.
