The OTOFIX EvoScan Ultra update licence extends your entitlement to software updates for the EvoScan Ultra with one year. The EvoScan Ultra is the most advanced diagnostic platform in the range, featuring the V1 Flash interface rather than the standard V1. This V1 Flash has its own Ethernet connection and operates wirelessly or via cable, with the manufacturer specifying that you use programming work the cable. As long as the licence is active, every new software version via the update menu on the device itself.

We link the licence to the serial number from your EvoScan Ultra and process that within one working day; you do not need to register anything yourself. A renewal gives you one year of access to the software updates for this device, including the vehicle coverage and the procedures contained within it. When the licence expires, the EvoScan Ultra continues to operate on the last installed version and reading, clearing and live data functions remain available on already supported vehicles, but new versions cannot be installed.

✕Without renewal, you cannot install no new software updates, meaning vehicles from after your last update will remain unsupported.
✕Without internet connection on the device, nothing happens, regardless of licence validity.

An active licence covers three components of the EvoScan Ultra. These are the vehicle coverage, the function files and the online services. Below is what a renewal provides and what occurs if you do not renew.

What a renewal provides

  • New vehicle coverage: Brands, models and model years added after your last update become available within existing diagnostic functions.
  • Corrections and improvements: Bug fixes, faster routines and corrected procedures in the software itself arrive through the same updates.

What happens without renewal

  • No further updates: The update menu remains empty, even when the manufacturer releases new versions.
  • Cloud services: Reporting and support running through the manufacturer's servers may cease.
  • Existing diagnostics: Reading, clearing, live data and active tests on already supported vehicles continue to work normally.

How does it work in practice?

From order to updated device takes four steps. The serial number is the only thing you need to locate yourself.
