The OTOFIX D1 Pro update licence extends your entitlement to software updates for the D1 Pro with one year. What the D1 Pro can do is determined by the software, not the hardware. The device is a professional diagnostic tablet with a ten-inch screen and the V1 interface. The special functions perform component adaptation and variant coding, and on the immobiliser side the device can disable a lost key and programme a replacement key. An extension gives you one year's access to all new versions released during that period.
The licence is tied to the serial number of your D1 Pro, not to an account or a code; we establish that link for you, usually within one working day. A renewal maintains vehicle coverage, the coding and adaptation procedures and the TPMS programming within one working day. When the licence term expires, nothing changes on what is already installed on the device, but new software will no longer be added.

POINTS TO NOTE
✕Once paired, the licence is tied to that single serial number; transfer to a second device is not possible.
✕New TPMS protocols are available only while the licence is active; after expiry, sensor coverage remains at the level of your last update.
✕An extension provides software only, not hardware, so the battery tester BT1 Lite, an inspection camera and an oscilloscope module remain available for separate purchase.
✕Downloading requires a stable WiFi connection; on a busy guest network, a large update can take considerable time.
Applications and functionalities
Three things on the D1 Pro are tied to the licence. The vehicle coverage determines which vehicles the device recognises, the function files determine what it can do with them, and the online services deliver external data.
What a renewal provides
- New vehicle coverage: Brands, models and model years added after your last update become available within existing diagnostic functions.
- Expanded service functions: Procedures such as oil service, electronic parking brake, battery management, steering angle sensor and DPF regeneration continue to support newer vehicles as manufacturers modify their systems.
- TPMS database: Sensor types, learning procedures and vehicle-specific relearn steps are expanded.
What happens without renewal
- New versions: Nothing further is added, including no corrections to software already installed.
- Online purchase: Services running through manufacturer servers may become limited or unavailable after expiry.
- No feature loss: What you can do with the D1 Pro today, you can still do after the licence expires.
