The Topdon TopScan Pro update license is a software extension valid for one year, specifically designed for users of the Topdon TopScan Pro diagnostic device. This license guarantees access to the latest system updates, expanded vehicle coverage, and new features released by the manufacturer.
With an active software extension, the diagnostic device continues to perform optimally and new car models and service functions are added. After the license period expires, the device will continue to operate with the last installed software version. However, access to new updates and online features will no longer be possible until a new license is activated.

How does it work in practice?
Activating the software extension is a simple process that is entirely digital:
- Place your order and enter the serial number of your Topdon TopScan Pro in the remarks field.
- Within 24 hours, you will receive the digital extension code by email or WhatsApp.
- Start your Topdon diagnostic device and ensure a stable internet connection.
- Navigate to the update or extension menu within the software.
- Enter the received code to activate the license immediately for one year.
Serial number information
The serial number is essential for activating your update. Without the correct number, the license cannot be linked to your device.
The serial number of your Topdon device consists of 12 characters. You can find this number in the following places. Enter it during ordering in the designated remarks field.
- On the VCI interface: The number is often printed on the sticker on the back of the TopScan Pro dongle.
- In the software: Connect the VCI and go to the settings menu or profile section of the app, where the device information is shown.
- Original packaging: The serial number is usually also found on the box in which the product was delivered.
