With an active software license, the diagnostic device continues to perform optimally, with new car models and advanced features added continuously. After the license period expires, the device remains usable with the last installed software version. However, access to new updates and online functions will be suspended until the license is renewed.

How does it work in practice?
Activating the software extension is a simple process:
- Enter the serial number of your Topdon diagnostic device in the remarks field during ordering.
- You will receive the digital extension code within 24 hours by email or WhatsApp.
- On the diagnostic device, go to the update menu and enter the received code to activate the license.
- After successful activation, you can immediately download and install the latest software.
Serial number information
The serial number is essential for the correct processing of your update license. Make sure to provide the correct number.
The serial number consists of 12 characters and can be found on the back of the device or in the settings menu. Enter this number in the remarks field of your order.
- Back of the device: The serial number is usually on a sticker on the back of the tablet.
- Settings menu: Navigate through the main menu to 'Settings' or 'Info' where the system details, including the serial number, are displayed.
