The OTOFIX EvoScan update license provides access to the latest software updates and functionalities for a period of 1 year. This license ensures that the diagnostic device is supplied with new diagnostic functions, expanded coverage of vehicle models, and various software improvements.

With an active license, the user continues to benefit from ongoing developments and the latest data for diagnosis. When the license has expired, the already installed functions remain usable, but the device no longer receives updates. After placing the order, the update license is usually processed and activated for the specified serial number within 24 hours.

This license activates the following applications and functionalities for the diagnostic device:

  • Software updates: Receipt of the latest software versions with bug fixes and performance improvements.
  • Expanded vehicle coverage: Addition of new car brands, models, and production years to the diagnostic database.
  • New diagnostic functions: Access to new service functions, codings, and adjustments that are added.
  • Retention of online functions: Continuous access to online programming and coding, if supported by the device.

Serial number information:

For license activation, the serial number of the diagnostic device is required. This number, consisting of 14 characters, must be entered in the comments field during the ordering process. The serial number can be found in the following locations:

  • Device: On the back of the OTOFIX EvoScan.
  • Settings menu: In the main menu under 'Settings' or 'Info'.
  • Packaging box: On the original packaging of the device.
