The OTOFIX D1 Pro update licence extends your right to software updates for the D1 Pro by one year. What the D1 Pro can do is determined by the software, not the hardware. The device is a professional diagnostic tablet with a ten-inch screen and the V1 interface. The special functions cover component adjustment and variant coding, and on the immobiliser side the device can disable a lost key and programme a replacement key. An extension gives you access for one year to all new versions released during that period.
The licence is tied to the serial number of your D1 Pro, not to an account or a code; we arrange that link for you, usually within one working day. An extension maintains the vehicle coverage, the coding and adjustment procedures and the TPMS programming. Once the term expires, nothing already on the device changes, but new software is no longer added.

POINTS TO NOTE
✕Once linked, the licence belongs to that one serial number; it cannot be transferred to a second device.
✕New TPMS protocols are only added while the licence is valid; afterwards, sensor coverage remains where it was.
✕An extension provides software, not hardware, so the BT1 Lite battery tester, an inspection camera and an oscilloscope module must still be purchased separately.
✕Downloading requires a stable Wi-Fi connection; on a busy guest network, a large update may take a long time.
Applications and functionality
Three things on the D1 Pro depend on the licence. The vehicle coverage determines which cars the device recognises, the function files determine what it can do with them, and the online services provide what comes in from outside.
What an extension gives you
- New vehicle coverage: Makes, models and model years added after your last update become available within the existing diagnostic functions.
- Broader service functions: Procedures such as oil service, electronic parking brake, battery management, steering angle sensor and DPF regeneration continue to apply to newer vehicles as manufacturers change their systems.
- TPMS database: Sensor types, relearn procedures and vehicle-specific relearn steps are supplemented.
What happens without an extension
- New versions: Nothing further is added, including no corrections to the software already installed.
- Online side: Services that run through the manufacturer servers may become limited or no longer available after expiry.
- No loss of functions: What you do with the D1 Pro today, you can still do after the licence expires.
