The Launch X-431 ProS Elite Update License is a digital update license that keeps the associated diagnostic software on your scan tool equipped with the latest updates for 1 year. The license unlocks access to software updates, expansions of vehicle coverage and improvements to existing diagnostic functions. During this period, you can continue using the device for current vehicle models and systems, ensuring that outdated software never limits your diagnostic work in the workshop.
After purchase, you'll receive an update card with a 12-character activation code. This code is entered manually into the Launch X-431 ProS Elite software via the update or license menu on the device. Once successfully entered, updates become available throughout the license period. When the license period expires, the software already installed on your device continues to work, but new updates and vehicle coverage expansions are blocked until a new license is activated.
