The reader device will continue to operate based on the last installed software version but will not receive further updates or access to online services. To maintain full functionality, an annual renewal is necessary.

How does it work in practice?
Renewing your software license is a simple and automated process. Follow the steps below to equip your device with the latest software.
- Add the update license to your shopping cart.
- Proceed to checkout and enter the serial number of your reader device in the remarks field.
- Complete the order fully.
- After receiving the order, the license will be automatically activated on your Autel account within 24 hours (on working days).
- Once activation is complete, you can immediately download and install the new software via the update function on your device.
Serial number information
To activate the license correctly, the serial number of your device is required. Without this number, the renewal cannot be processed.
The serial number, which consists of 12 characters, can be found in one of the following locations. Please check this number and enter it correctly in the remarks field when completing your order.
- Device: On a sticker on the back of the casing.
- Settings menu: Navigate to 'Settings' and then to 'About' in the menu of the reader device.
- Packaging box: On the barcode of the original box in which the device was delivered.
