The OBDSTAR M045 is the diagnostic adapter cable for the 6-pin diagnostic connector found on Shineray motorcycles. The vehicle-side connector is a 6-pin plug with a locking mechanism that fits the factory port, whilst the device-side features a 16-pin OBD2 (J1962) connector.
Shineray uses a proprietary 6-pin connector format that differs from the standard automotive OBD2 socket. This cable translates that format to the standardised OBD2 layout, functioning as a mechanical and electrical interface: diagnostic signals are transmitted using the communication protocol present in the vehicle, with no signal processing occurring within the cable itself.
