OBDSTAR Renault Converter Adapter | Accessories
The OBDSTAR Renault Converter Adapter is an accessory designed to establish communication with specific vehicle systems of Renault and Dacia. This converter is used in combination with compatible OBDSTAR diagnostic and key programming tools to access modules placed behind a secured gateway.
The primary function of the Adapter is bypassing the gateway module installed in recent vehicle models. By making a direct connection to the vehicle's CAN bus, the converter allows the technician to perform advanced functions such as key programming in 'All Keys Lost' (AKL) situations, which would not be possible via the standard OBD2 port.
Application and functionality:
The Adapter is developed to support the following functionalities:
- Gateway bypass: Enables a direct connection to the CAN network, bypassing the vehicle's security gateway.
- Key programming: Facilitates programming new keys and performing 'All Keys Lost' (AKL) procedures without the original key.
- Direct module access: Provides direct access to the Body Control Module (BCM) and other systems required for key and immobilizer functions.
