The OBDSTAR ECU Master update licence for configuration B extends your entitlement to software updates with one year. Configuration B is the motorcycle variant and unlocks one module group, engine management, across more than one hundred brands and over three hundred controller types.
Particularly with two-wheelers, new control units are regularly added, and this list is precisely what this extension maintains. Consider series such as Honda Keihin M32R, SH705X, MPC560 and RH850, the CFMOTO MSE series and the Kawasaki Denso 21175. When the licence expires, the device continues to operate on the latest installed version, with the control units contained within it.

Applications and functionalities
An active licence keeps three components of configuration B current. These are the controller list, operations and editing modes. Below is what a renewal provides and what stops working without it.
What a renewal provides
- New motorcycle control units: Brands and ECM types added after your last update become available.
- Updated operations: Read and write data, clone, read and write ISN, erase VIN, calibrate mileage and reset to factory status follow the new control units.
- All five modes: OBD, BENCH, BOOT, JTAG and BDM are updated together with the control unit list.
What happens without renewal
- New software: No new versions are received and the control unit list remains as it was.
- Online services: OBDSTAR online services may be unavailable or limited.
- Existing work: The control units already in your version continue to be read, cloned and written back normally.

How does it work in practice?
From order to updated software is Four steps. The serial number is the only thing you need to locate yourself.
- Provide serial number: Provide the serial number of your ECU Master when ordering in the remarks field, with reference to the configuration.
- Activation: We extend the licence on that serial number, typically within one working day.
- Connect the device: Connect the ECU Master with the USB cable to the PC running Windows 10 or later on which the software is installed.
- Install updates: Open the software, retrieve the new version and install it.
