The OBDSTAR C4-02 Adapter is a circuit board adapter used in combination with the OBDSTAR P003 toolkit and the associated jumper cables. The adapter has a DB25 connector on the top and contains multiple pre-printed contact positions (U11, U12, U21, U22, U23, U31, U32, U33, and U51) for reading and editing EEPROM and MCU chips at the component level.

During use, the C4-02 is connected via the DB25 connector to the P003 interface. The chip to be accessed is connected with the supplied or optional solder or jumper wires to the corresponding pin positions on the adapter. Then the OBDSTAR programmer communicates with the chip to read, write, or erase data via the programming function of the host device.

IMPORTANT POINTS

✕ The Adapter is only usable in combination with the OBDSTAR P003 toolkit; standalone use with other programmers is not supported.

✕ For component-level connection, soldering techniques and loose jumper or solder wires are required; these are not included.

Applications and functionalities

The C4-02 supports the following component-level tasks in combination with the P003 programmer:

Read EEPROM: Read memory contents of EEPROM chips via the pre-printed contact positions, making data available as backup or for analysis.
Write EEPROM: Restore or modify data on EEPROM chips, for example to repair dashboard or immobilizer data.
Access MCU data: Connect to MCU chips on the selected pin positions (U11, U12, U51) for read and write operations via the P003.
Chip identification via pin mapping: The numbered pin positions allow correct wiring per chip type supported by OBDSTAR software.
