The OBDSTAR M001A is the main cable connecting your OBDSTAR diagnostic tool to the vehicle. The tool end features a 15-pin DB15 connector, whilst the vehicle end has a standard 16-pin OBD2 connector (J1962) that plugs into the vehicle's diagnostic port.
This cable exists because OBDSTAR diagnostic tools use a screw-on DB15 connector. The cable carries signals and power between tool and vehicle, enabling code reading, programming and key learning via the OBD2 port. The cable does not process signals; it simply transmits them. The M001A provides access to whatever is available through the standard OBD2 port. For vehicles without an OBD2 port, a separate manufacturer-specific adapter is required, and which procedures you can perform depends on your own device's software.
