This 46-piece set is designed for measuring cylinder compression and locating leaks in the combustion system. Thanks to an extensive range of adapters, the set is suitable for a wide range of gasoline and diesel engines, increasing its versatility.
The set contains two main components: a compression tester with a gauge for measuring cylinder pressure and a cylinder leak detector. The leak detector, equipped with two gauges, measures pressure loss in a cylinder and helps identify the location of the leak, such as valves, piston rings, or the head gasket. All parts are supplied in a sturdy storage case for organized storage and transport.
Application and functionality:
This set enables assessing the mechanical condition of an engine by performing two separate measurements.
- Compression measurement: Measures the maximum compression pressure in each cylinder to assess the overall condition of the engine. Low compression may indicate wear of piston rings, valves, or the cylinder wall.
- Leak detection: Locates the source of compression loss by introducing compressed air into the cylinder and measuring the pressure loss. This helps diagnose faulty intake or exhaust valves, head gaskets, or piston rings.
- Wide compatibility: Includes a diverse range of adapters for spark plug and glow plug threads, making the set usable on many different vehicle types.
- Complete diagnosis: The combination of both testers provides a complete picture of the mechanical condition of the upper part of the engine.
