Activation is simple — you'll receive an activation card with a 12-character code. Log into the Launch software on your scanner and enter the code manually through the update or license menu. Once entered, new software packages become available for download through your device's standard update function. When the license expires, your scanner continues to work with installed software, but new updates and vehicle coverage expansions are blocked. A renewal is required to access further software updates and new vehicle support.

Serial Number Information
The serial number of the diagnostic device is required to link and register the license. On the X-431 ProS Mini, this serial number can be found in the following locations:

- System information menu: The serial number is visible through the settings or info menu within the Launch software on the device itself.
