The update license for the Launch X-431 PAD III is a software extension with a duration of 1 year. This license gives the diagnostic tool access to the latest software updates from the manufacturer. This includes updates for diagnostic functions, the addition of new vehicle models, and the expansion of overall vehicle coverage.
With an active license, all online functionalities of the diagnostic tool remain available. When the license has expired, the device retains the already installed software but no longer receives updates. Certain online functions may therefore be limited. After ordering, the renewal code for the update license is delivered online within 24 hours via Whatsapp or Email.

- Settings menu: In the software menu, usually under 'Profile' or 'Info'.
- Packaging box: On a sticker on the original packaging box.
