The Launch X-431 IMMO Elite update licence extends your entitlement to software updates for the IMMO Elite with one year. The capabilities of the IMMO Elite are determined by the software, not the hardware. The device is an eight-inch unit for key and immobiliser work, designated by the manufacturer as the new generation. The device covers anti-theft matching and anti-theft programming brands from Asia, Europe and America, with intelligent VIN recognition and the X-PROG 3 included in the package. An extension gives you one year's access to all new versions released during that period.
The extension is digital. You will receive a card with a code in your mailbox and you enter it on the IMMO Elite itself, in the update menu. When ordering, provide the serial number of the device, as this field is mandatory. An extension keeps the key and immobiliser files alongside the standard vehicle coverage and the reset procedures.

Applications and functionality
Three things on the IMMO Elite depend on the licence. The vehicle coverage determines which vehicles the device recognises, the function files determine what it can do with them, and the online services deliver external data.
What a renewal provides
- New vehicle coverage: Brands, models and model years added after your last update become available within existing diagnostic functions.
- Expanded service functions: Procedures such as service light reset, throttle valve adjustment, steering angle sensor reset, brake pad reset and tyre pressure reset continue to work on newer vehicles as manufacturers update their systems.
- Key and immobiliser files: The file containing key, transponder and immobiliser procedures grows alongside newer systems.
What happens without renewal
- No updates: New coverage and new procedures no longer reach the device.
- Online functions: Anything the software does not have built-in may stop working afterwards.
- No feature loss: What you can do with the IMMO Elite today, you can still do after your licence expires.

How does it work in practice?
