The Launch X-431 ProS Elite update licence extends your entitlement to software updates for the ProS Elite with one year. The ProS Elite is a professional diagnostic tablet for workshops and garages, with coverage across virtually the entire vehicle range and draws its coverage from a database that grows with the market. The device codes, calibrates and parametrises online including BMW, Audi, Volkswagen and Mercedes-Benz, works with the guided functions from the VAG group and supports CAN FD and DoIP. With an active licence, that database remains current.
A licence renewal keeps the vehicle coverage, the service procedures and the coding files via; online coding runs through the manufacturer's servers and requires an active licence. No registration with a service desk is necessary, as you receive a code by email and activate the renewal yourself in the update menu of the ProS Elite. The serial number of the device is mandatory at the time of ordering. After expiry, the already installed software remains fully functional.

How does it work in practice?
There are four steps between your order and an updated ProS Elite, and three of these we or the device itself handle.
- Find the serial number: Locate the serial number of your ProS Elite and provide it with your order; this field is mandatory.
- Code in your mailbox: The code is in the message we send you, usually within one working day.
- Activate the renewal: In the update menu of the ProS Elite, you enter the code, after which the new period begins.
- Download updates: Connect the ProS Elite to the charger, link to wifi and download the available versions.
