Launch BST360 | Battery Tester

The Launch BST360 is a battery tester that communicates via Bluetooth with a smartphone or a compatible Launch X-431 diagnostic device. This tester is designed to analyze the condition of 12V batteries and the associated starting and charging systems. The test results, such as the health status (SOH) and charge status (SOC), are displayed directly in the accompanying application.

In addition to the standard battery test, the BST360 offers extensive diagnostic functions, including a starting system test and a charging system test. A specific function is the ripple voltage test, which checks the rectifier diode of the alternator. All test results can be saved in a detailed report, which can be printed or digitally shared for further analysis.

Application and functionality:

The BST360 performs various tests to provide a complete picture of the battery and related systems:

• Battery condition test: Analyzes the health status (State of Health - SOH) and the charge status (State of Charge - SOC) to determine the overall condition of the battery.
• Starting system test: Measures the starting voltage and starting time during engine start to evaluate the performance of the starter motor and the battery under load.
• Charging system test: Checks the output voltage of the alternator, both unloaded and under load, to verify the correct operation of the charging system.
• Ripple voltage test: Detects the ripple voltage in the charging system, which indicates the condition of the alternator and the rectifier diodes.
• Bluetooth connectivity: Provides a wireless connection to a mobile device or a Launch X-431 diagnostic tool, allowing the tester to be operated without physical cables to the reading device.
• Test reporting: Generates a digital report of the test results that can be saved, shared, or printed.
