Diagnostic functions

The OTOFIX IM2 offers all-systems diagnosis at OE level, allowing all electronic vehicle systems to be read and tested. CarVIN speeds up vehicle recognition and performing system-wide scans.

• Car VIN: Automatic vehicle identification via VIN for quick selection of the correct vehicle profile.
• Read and clear fault codes: Reading and clearing DTCs on all supported vehicle systems.
• Live Data: Real-time display of sensor values and parameters during vehicle operation.
• Freeze Frame Data: Viewing stored snapshots with sensor values at the moment a fault code was recorded.
• ECU information: Reading ECU identification, software version, and hardware data.
• Active test: Controlling actuators and components to check operation without manual intervention.
• Online and offline coding: Adjusting ECU settings via server-based coding or manual offline (Online Coding not available for Mercedes-Benz).
• ECU programming: Offline ECU programming including flashing blank ECUs and updating existing ECU software.
• Hidden Function: Activating hidden vehicle functions (not available for Mercedes-Benz).
• Guided Function: Guided procedures for specific repairs (not available for Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and JLR).
• DoIP and CAN-FD: Support for modern communication protocols (additional adapters required).

Key and EEPROM functions

The IM2 is primarily developed for key programming and IMMO work. The device supports both OBD procedures and bench work via the XP1 Pro programmer.
