The Jaltest JDC520A connects the proprietary 16-pin diagnostic connector of a Valtra tractor to the 16-pin OBD2 port of your Jaltest diagnostic equipment. On the machine side, there is a round black plug with a ribbed coupling ring and a metal cable clamp; the contact holder has sixteen numbered positions, of which twelve are fitted with contacts. Despite the equal number of pins, the pin assignment differs from a standard OBD2 connector. The cable measures 28 to 30 cm.
Once connected, the Jaltest software accesses the tractor's engine control unit. Jaltest supports two control modules with common rail fuel injection: the EEM3 - EDC 7 UC31 and the newer EEM4 - EDC 17 CV54, with the EEM4 also offering additional functions. For both control modules, service intervals can be retrieved. The cable is compatible with Jaltest Link V8.1 and V9 and falls under Jaltest AGV (agricultural vehicles).

Applications and functionality
Via this 16-pin connection you access with the Jaltest software the engine management of the tractor. Which of the two you encounter depends on the engine generation: The EEM3 is the older version, the EEM4 the newer one. The list below is taken from the Valtra coverage, followed by the functions available for each control unit.
Control units you can access
- EEM3 - EDC 7 UC31, electronic diesel control: The first common rail injection control unit of this Valtra generation.
- EEM4 - EDC 17 CV54, electronic diesel control: The newer version, with additional functions in the coverage.
What you can do
- Read and clear fault codes: Access the fault memory of the control unit with fault descriptions, and clear it after repair.
- View live data: Monitor current sensor values from the control unit, with the option to set alarm thresholds for out-of-range values.
- Consult maintenance: Retrieve maintenance intervals and record completed work in a report.
- Perform additional functions: The extra procedures per control unit, such as reset and calibration functions. Available on Valtra EEM4 - EDC 17 CV54.
Compatible vehicles and applications
The connector type is what matters, not the model. This cable fits any Valtra tractor with the round 16-pin diagnostic connector. The series listed below are covered by Jaltest AGV ; the A-series and the T-series are also on the compatibility list for the 8-pin cable, so both connector types are found within those series.
