The Jaltest JDC60AM2 powers the interface from a USB port. On the power supply side, there is a standard USB-A connector with the USB symbol on the black housing. The other end terminates in a right-angle DC plug with a chrome-plated sleeve and a yellow insulation ring. The cable is thin and flexible, measuring 153 cm.
Of the four power cables, this is the only one that does not draw power from the vehicle—a laptop, a power bank or a USB charger will do. This makes it suitable for bench work and equipment where you cannot access battery terminals or a cigarette lighter socket. The JDC60AM2 is included in the MHE hardware kits 70301001 and 70301002, for forklifts and internal transport. It is a power cable, not a diagnostic cable.
KEY BENEFITS
IMPORTANT NOTES
Applications and functionality
A power cable provides the Jaltest Link with its own power supply, so the interface is not dependent on the vehicle diagnostic connector of the vehicle. The JDC60AM2 is the version with a USB-A connector of 153 cm and draws its power from a laptop, a power bank or a USB charger. It is not a diagnostic cable: for that you need the vehicle-specific cable.
What you use a power cable for
Not every diagnostic connector supplies power to the interface. A power cable solves that:
- When the diagnostic connector provides no voltage: The Link then receives its power via this route.
- With standalone systems: Think of setups where you are not connected to the vehicle's main diagnostic port.
- On the workbench: You can power the interface without a vehicle connected.
What you receive
A thin black cable measuring one and a half metres with a USB-A connector on one end and an angled DC plug on the other. The USB housing is black plastic with the USB symbol embossed on it and a white contact carrier; it is a standard USB-A connector that fits any USB port. The DC plug is angled to the cable and features a chrome-plated sleeve with a yellow insulation. The cable features no switch, no indicator light and no fuse holder integrated into it.
What you'll need
- A Jaltest Link: The interface where the right-angled DC connector attaches.
- A USB power source: Laptop, power bank or USB charger; the vehicle provides no power here.
- The diagnostic cable for your vehicle or system: This makes the actual connection.
The four power cables side by side
All four supply the same interface. The difference lies in the location where you source the power from:
- JDC10AM2, battery terminals: A red and black crocodile clip connected directly to the battery poles, 595 to 605 cm.
- JDC20AM2, cigarette lighter: A lighter plug for the cabin, 195 to 205 cm.
- JDC30AM2, agricultural connector: An adapter measuring 28 to 30 cm with a round 3-pin agricultural plug on one end and a lighter socket on the other.
- JDC60AM2, USB-A: A USB-A connector for laptop, power bank or USB charger, 153 cm.
The JDC10AM2, the JDC20AM2 and the JDC60AM2 terminate in the same right-angled DC connector and connect directly to the interface. The JDC30AM2 differs: it terminates in a lighter socket and is compatible with the cigarette lighter socket on the JDC20AM2.
