The Jaltest MDC100.9 is the adapter cable connecting the 26-pin Sub-D of the Jaltest Link V9 to the 37-pin Sub-D of an earlier version of the Jaltest ETM. It is a short cable measuring approximately 28 to 30 cm with a narrow 26-pin Sub-D socket on one end featuring contacts arranged in three rows, and a wider 37-pin Sub-D socket on the other end with contacts in two rows. Both ends are female connectors fitted with threaded coupling nuts, allowing you to secure the connection on both sides. You do not connect it directly to a vehicle; instead, it bridges the interface and the test module.
If you purchased an ETM previously and have since upgraded to the Link V9, you do not need to replace the test module. This cable bridges the difference between the two connectors, so your existing ETM continues to work without replacement. In addition to this cable, you will need the ETM itself, the test lead for the component you are measuring, an ETM licenceand an active CV or Modular software licence.

Applications and functionality
This cable has one purpose: It makes the earlier ETM compatible again with the Jaltest Link V9. Below you will find which connector is on which side and what you can do with the ETM in your workshop afterwards.
What this cable is for

What you can do
- Diagnose the component in isolation: The ETM takes on the role of control unit and communicates directly with the component.
- Determine whether the component is actually faulty: If the component works, the fault lies elsewhere in the system.
- Perform a complete measurement of an EBS modulator: Advanced diagnostics of the modulator.
- Carry out an End of Line test (EOL): The check that confirms the component is working correctly.
What you will need
This adapter cable only works as part of a complete ETM setup. In addition to the cable itself, you will need the test module, the corresponding interface, the correct licences and the test lead for the component. The components listed below are included.
- An earlier version of the Jaltest ETM: This adapter was created for that purpose.
- A Jaltest Link V9: The interface to which you connect the ETM via this cable.
- ETM licence: Without that licence, the ETM will not start. The annual renewal has reference 29701.
- An active Jaltest software licence: Either a CV licence or a Modular licence.
- The test cable for the component: MDC02 through to MDC14, depending on what you are measuring.
