The Jaltest JSK02 is the service key for Liebherr: A 9-pin SUB-D connector with male pins, housed in a black plastic cap with two locking screws. You insert it into the dedicated port on the machine itself, not into the diagnostic socket of your equipment.
With the key in place, the machine enters service mode and unlocks diagnostic and adjustment functions; without it, those functions remain locked, regardless of how well your equipment is otherwise connected. The key is brand-specific: Merlo requires its own version with reference JSK01, and the two are not interchangeable. Liebherr falls under Jaltest coverage as part of Jaltest OHW (Off-Highway); you connect your equipment using the Liebherr diagnostic cable JDC542.9 or JDC551.9.

Applications and functionality
The service mode is the state in which a Liebherr machine releases her control units for maintenance purposes. The key is what enables that mode; reading and configuring is then performed by you using the Jaltest equipment.
What you use the key for
- Placing the machine in service mode: You insert the connector into the socket on the machine; this is the requirement to access the diagnostic and adjustment functions.
- Working on machines that require it: Without the key, the service mode remains locked on these machines.
- Securing the connection: The two locking screws keep the connector in place during operation.

- Jaltest Link: The interface between the machine and your PC or laptop.
- An active Jaltest OHW licence: Liebherr falls under Off-Highway coverage.
- The correct Liebherr diagnostic cable: The JDC542.9 or the JDC551.9, depending on the socket on the machine.
