\nThe Jaltest JDC523A connects the proprietary 4-pin diagnostic connector from a Kubota-motor with your Jaltest equipment. On the engine side there is a rectangular black connector with a yellow contact holder and four flat pins, with a straight cable entry. On the interface side, the cable terminates in a 16-pin OBD2; the total length is 28 to 30 cmThe connector is part of the engine block itself, so you'll find it on or next to the engine rather than in a fixed location on the machine.
\nWith this connection, the Jaltest software connects directly to the two Kubota-engine control units outside coverage: The E-CDIS with common rail injection and the ECU 05. Both include the same functional scope in coverage, from fault codes and live data to maintenance and additional actions, and the block configuration determines which regulation you will find. Because Kubota supplies compact engines to many equipment manufacturers, the cable is a factor inJaltest AGV, OHW, MHE and Multi-purpose Vehicle.\n

Applications and functionality
Through this connection, you can access the engine control unit of the Kubota engine block using Jaltest software. Which of the two control units is fitted depends on the engine variant and not the machine itself. The units listed below are from the Kubota range and both offer the same functional scope, from fault codes to supplementary functions.
Control units you can access
- E-CDIS, electronic diesel control with common rail injection:The Kubota common rail engine control system.
- ECU 05, electronic diesel control:The second control unit from the Kubota coverage, offering the same functional scope as the E-CDIS.
What you can do
- Reading and clearing fault codes:Read the fault memory of the control unit with the fault description, and clear it after repair.
- View measurement values:The current sensor values on the control unit, with the ability to set alarm thresholds for values outside the normal range.
- Consult maintenance schedule:Retrieve the engine service intervals and record the work performed in a report.
- Perform additional actions:The additional procedures per control unit, such as reset and configuration functions. Available on Kubota for both the E-CDIS and the ECU 05.
Compatible vehicles and applications
Compatibility is determined by the connector type, not the machine model.Kubota supplies its engines asloose drive, so the engine range counts and not the brand on the engine cover. This cable fits any Kubota engine block with the 4-pin connectorwith theyellow contact holder; verify this on the machine itself before ordering.
