The Jaltest 71602007 is the update licence for the Knorr-Bremse Diagnostics Add-on. With it you extend, by twelve months, an add-on that is already registered to your serial number. Knorr-Bremse updates the diagnostics three times a year; with this extension you receive those versions, with the systems and procedures added in that year.

The add-on sits alongside your existing Jaltest software, so you work in one environment. To use it you need an active Jaltest diagnostic licence, CV or Modular. The original technical information from Knorr-Bremse is included. If you do not extend, the module is blocked; if you do not yet have it, you start with the software licence (71502007).

POINTS TO NOTE

✕You need an active Jaltest diagnostic licence for it, CV or Modular. If that expires, this module is also blocked.

✕Switching to the standalone version does not happen automatically. It requires a product change.
✕Please state the serial number of your Jaltest Link in the comments field when you order; without that number we cannot activate the licence.

Applications and functionality

Knorr-Bremse Diagnostics is the diagnostics of Knorr-Bremse itself, with the operation of Jaltest Diagnostics. This extension keeps the add-on active and brings the versions of the coming year. You read the rest of the vehicle with the Jaltest diagnostic licence you already have.

What the licence includes

  • Term: Twelve months extra.
  • Versions: Three per year, from Knorr-Bremse.
  • Technical information: Original from Knorr-Bremse.
  • Installations: Up to five PCs.
  • Activation: By us, within one working day.
  • Delivery: Digital, no shipment.

What you can do

  • System scan: Which KB units are fitted.
  • Fault codes: With the KB description.
  • Live data: Parameters of the braking system.
  • Control: Modulators, sensors, actuators.
  • Calibrations: What KB releases per system.
  • ECU replacement: According to the KB procedure.

How to use it

  1. Ordering: Add the update licence to your basket.
  2. Serial number: State in the comments field the serial number of the Jaltest Link on which the module is registered.
  3. Activation: We apply the extension to that serial number, usually within one working day of your order.
  4. Confirmation: You receive the new expiry date by email.
  5. Use: Start Jaltest Diagnostics and retrieve the new version. The Knorr-Bremse diagnostics remain in the start menu.

Compatible vehicles and systems

What matters is which Knorr-Bremse systems are fitted in the vehicle. The module works on the Knorr-Bremse systems in trucks, buses and trailers. Which systems are available per vehicle differs by model and year of manufacture.

Vehicles:

  • Trucks: Knorr-Bremse systems.
  • Buses: Knorr-Bremse systems.
  • Trailers: The newer iTEBS X trailer brakes as well.

Truck and trailer in one programme:

  • Previously: NEO for the tractor unit, ECUtalk for the trailer.
  • Now: Both in one environment within Jaltest.

The four versions

Knorr-Bremse Diagnostics is available via two routes, each with an initial purchase and an annual renewal. The add-on works within a Jaltest licence you already have; the standalone version does not require that licence.

  • Add-on, software licence (71502007): Initial purchase, in addition to your Jaltest licence.
  • Add-on, update licence (71602007): Twelve-month renewal, from the second year. This product.
  • Standalone, software activation (71502008): Initial purchase, without a Jaltest licence.
  • Standalone, update licence (71602011): Twelve-month renewal, from the second year.

What you need

  • Jaltest Link: The diagnostic interface. Required, including to start the software on a PC.
  • Jaltest diagnostic licence: CV or Modular, active. The add-on works within that licence.
  • Software licence (71502007): The initial purchase of the add-on.
  • Adapter cables (optional): JDC103A (Wabco and Knorr-Bremse trailer brake systems, 7-pin), JDC111A (Knorr-Bremse KB4-TA trailer ABS, 7-pin), JDC220A (Knorr-Bremse EBS 5, 18+18-pin) and JDC305A (Knorr-Bremse ABS, 18+18-pin). If you do not have them, connect using the multi-pin set from your Jaltest case.

Good to know: Switching between the add-on and the standalone version requires a product change. If you are unsure which route you currently have, please provide the serial number of your Jaltest Link with your order; we will check which licences are on it.
