The Jaltest JTP101 is the multi-pin connecting cable for the Jaltest Link V9. At one end is a black housing with a 16-pin OBD2 connector; at the other end, four measuring pins of the banana plug type extend in green, grey, yellow and blue, with one separate round connector on its own strand alongside them. The cable is 28 to 30 cm long.

The cable belongs to Jaltest's multi-pin sets and can be ordered separately as a replacement or spare, for example if you want to fit a second set. It fits only the Jaltest Link V9; it does not work with the Link V8.1. You also need an active Jaltest software licence.

POINTS TO NOTE

✕This cable works only with the Jaltest Link V9. You cannot use it with the older Link V8.1.
✕This is not an ETM multi-pin cable: the MDC13 has two measuring pins and the MDC14 three, the JTP101 has four plus a round connector.
✕Where the measuring pins and the round connector are attached differs by application; confirm this on the machine you are working on.
✕This is not a diagnostic cable for a specific make or model, and without an active Jaltest software licence you cannot carry out any diagnostics with it.

Applications and functionality

The JTP101 connects the separate multi-pins to the Jaltest Link V9. With the multi-pins you reach a connector for which no ready-made cable exists; the JTP101 carries that connection to the 16-pin OBD2 connector.

How to use it

  1. Check the Link: Use a Jaltest Link V9.
  2. Connecting: Plug the OBD2 end into the Link.
  3. Selecting multi-pins: Take the correct multi-pins with you.
  4. Connecting: Attach the pins and connector.
  5. Reading out: Start the diagnostics in Jaltest.

Compatible devices and applications

The Link version is decisive. The JTP101 fits only the Jaltest Link V9 and belongs to Jaltest's multi-pin sets, not to a vehicle-specific cable set.

Interface:

  • Jaltest Link V9: The only version it fits.
  • Jaltest Link V8.1: Not suitable.

Separate multi-pins:

💡
Good to know: If your Jaltest equipment arrived as a CV/OHW, MHE, AGV or Marine kit, the multi-pin set was already included and you therefore already have the JTP101. You can recognise it by the four coloured measuring pins with the separate round connector. Order it as a replacement or for a second set.
