Applications and Features
Using this adapter, you can programme with the Jaltest software the keys of the Kawasaki jet ski. The immobiliser lockallows the engine to run only with a key stored in memory, and that memory is precisely what you access with this tool. Belowoperations are part of the Marine coveringfrom Jaltest.
Control units you can access
- The waterscooter immobiliser:The system in which key codes are stored and where a key is registered or deregistered.
- The 4-pin connector:The same connector type that Kawasaki uses for its diagnostic port, but serving a different purpose.
What you can do
- Programming keys:For recording the code of the offered key.
- Pairing a replacement key:At the point of ordering an additional or replacement key, so the waterscooter recognises it.
- A lost key deactivation:Remove the sample from memory so the engine can no longer start.

Compatible vehicles and applications
The article itself is what matters, not the connector. That is the exception with Kawasaki: Both this adapter and the diagnostic cable JDC610A features on the vehicle side a entirely black 4-pin connector. The difference is evident in the product form — this is a Block measuring 5.2 cm without cable with a key slot on the rear; the JDC610A is a cable with a 16-pin OBD2 connector at the end — and at the reference number on the housing.
Kawasaki (specification):
- 4-pin connector, entirely black: Two rows of two flat pins in the housing, without coloured pin holder
- No model year restriction: Waterscooters have never been subject to a standardised diagnostic connector requirement
