The Jaltest JDC613A is the diagnostic cable for Suzuki outboard motors with the 8-pin connector; it connects to the 16-pin OBD2 port of your Jaltest diagnostic device. On the engine side sits a round, ivory-white connector with a locking collar featuring locking lugs and eight flat pins arranged in a circle. Suzuki uses two configurations side by side on the DF series — a 4-pin and this 8-pin — with the 4-pin version requiring the JDC616A. The cable measures 28 to 30 cm.
With this connection, Jaltest equipment reads the two control units of the DF series: the engine control module ECM and the control module BCM for the throttle and shift levers. Coverage differs between the two: the ECM provides component control, parameters, reset and manual procedures, whilst the BCM is limited to fault codes, live data, control unit information and calibration. Live data is available on both units. The cable falls under Jaltest Marine.

Applications and functionality
Via this connection you access the engine management and the control module of the Suzuki outboard motor using Jaltest software. The range of functions varies between the two units: The ECM offers the most comprehensive list, the BCM a more limited one. The units listed below are from the Suzuki coverage of Jaltest Marine.
Control units you can access
- ECM, engine control: The engine control unit. This includes the manual procedure, fault codes, measured values, component actuation, control unit data, parameters, calibration, reset and live data.
- BCM, throttle control module: The control unit for the throttle and shift levers, with fault codes, measured values, control unit data, calibration and live data.
What you can do
- Read fault codes: Access the fault memory of the engine control unit and throttle control module, with descriptions of detected faults.
- View measured values and monitor live data: The current sensor readings, monitored in real time whilst the engine is running.
- Actuate components: Control actuators on the engine control unit only.
- Adjust parameters and reset maintenance: Also limited to the engine control unit.
- Calibration: Available on both the engine control unit and throttle control module.
- Perform manual procedure: The manual checks that Jaltest covers for the engine control unit.
Compatible vehicles and applications
The connector type determines compatibility, not the model. This cable fits any Suzuki outboard motor with the 8-pin diagnostic connector. Jaltest Marine covers the following DF models below; you can identify which version is fitted to your motor by the round ivory-white connector and the number of pins in it.
Suzuki:
- Small DF models: DF9.9, DF15, DF20, DF25, DF30, DF40, DF50, DF60, DF70, DF80 and DF90
- Mid-range: DF100, DF115, DF140, DF150 and DF175
