The Jaltest JDC574A9 connects the 6-pin diagnostic connector from Crown warehouse and lift trucks to the 16-pin OBD2 port of your Jaltest diagnostic cable. Unlike a standard adapter cable, this unit branches behind the OBD2 housing into three separate connectors: a grey sealed plug with a green pin holder, a round single-pin connector and a small round connector. Be aware of this when unpacking: all three branches belong to the same cable.
Behind the truck's connector sit the control units. The connection brings Jaltest software to the Zapi TPM power modules that manage the drive and lift functions of electric trucks, in both CAN and RS232 versions, and on the CD diesel series to the engine controller DL03. The primary focus is on electric trucks; these have no engine management unit. Warehouse and lift trucks have never been subject to a standardised diagnostic connector requirement, which is why this adapter remains in use on newer trucks as well. The cable falls under Jaltest MHE.

Via this connection you can access the Jaltest software the control units for the truck. Which systems are present varies depending on series and per drive system. The units listed below are included in the Jaltest MHE coverage for Crown.
Control units you can access
- Zapi TPM (CAN), power module: The power module of the electric drive system on the CAN bus, with fault codes, measured values and control unit data.
- Zapi TPM (RS232), power module: The same module on older trucks with serial connection.
- ZPM (CAN), power module: The power module as listed by Jaltest for some of the series.
- DL03 (CAN), engine control: The engine control of the CD diesel trucks.
What you can do
- Read and clear fault codes: Read the fault memory of the control unit, with a description of the detected fault.
- View measured values: The current values of the sensors connected to the control unit, displayed as figures and graphs.
- Track maintenance: The maintenance intervals and work performed, with a service report.
- Perform additional actions: The extra procedures that Jaltest offers per control unit, where available for your system.
Compatible vehicles and applications
The connector type is what matters, not the model. This cable fits any Crown truck with the 6-pin diagnostic connector. The series listed below are covered by Jaltest's MHE coverage; hold the grey sealed connector with the green pin holder next to the truck's connector to check compatibility.
