The Jaltest JDC559A connects the 6+6-pin diagnostic connector on Haulotte boom lifts and telehandlers to the 16-pin OBD2 port of your Jaltest diagnostic cable. Directly behind the OBD2 connector is a black rectangular box with two branches, each with a white 6-pin connector in two rows of three. The two connectors form a matching pair, one with female contacts and the other with a pin cap. The cable is 30 cm long.
With both branches connected, the Jaltest software reaches the control units without having to swap connectors. These include the HYDRAULICS hydraulic control in the CAN and the older RS232 versions, the ECM Kohler engine control including the Stage V version, and on the HA series the E-CDIS for Kubota engines. On the HTL telehandlers, only the Kohler control is within coverage. The cable works with Jaltest Link V8.1 and V9 and falls under Jaltest MHE.

Through this dual connection, the Jaltest software accesses the machine's control units. Which systems are fitted varies by series and by engine specification; the boom lifts have more on board than the HTL telehandlers.

How to use it
- Locate the connectors: Find the 6+6-pin connector at the lower controls.
- Connect: Plug in both white connectors of the JDC559A.
- Connect the Link: Connect the OBD2 end to the diagnostic cable.
- Ignition on: Switch the machine's ignition on.
- Read out: Select Haulotte and the series in Jaltest MHE.
Compatible vehicles and applications
The connector determines compatibility, not the model. The cable fits any Haulotte machine where the lower-controls connection is a 6+6-pin connection. The series covered by Jaltest MHE are listed below. Machines with a single 4-pin connection fall under JDC549.9.
Haulotte:
- HA Series: HA 12 up to and including HA 80, articulated boom lift.
- H Series: H 12 up to and including H 43, scissor lift.
- HT Series: HT 16 up to and including HT 67, telescopic boom lift.
- HTL Series: HTL 3000 up to and including HTL 9000, telehandler.
- COMPACT 10 DX and COMPACT 12 DX: Scissor lift.
- STAR Series: STAR 6, 8 and 10, vertical mast lift.
- OPTIMUM 8: Scissor lift.
- SIGMA 16: Telescopic boom lift.
