The Jaltest JDC555A is the adapter cable for Still forklifts with the dual 4+4-pin diagnostic connector. On the vehicle side, the cable terminates in two branches of four pins each, whilst on the interface side it connects to the 16-pin OBD2-port of your Jaltest diagnostic cable. The engine side and the truck side of a Still are located on separate connectors beneath the bonnet; this cable combines both into a single port, over a length of 28 to 30 cm.
One branch serves the engine side: on diesel and LPG trucks the control units EDC 15 VM, EDC 16 U31 and EDC 17 CP20 and the newer EMR4 - EDC 17 CV52/CV54, on gas versions the GCP. The other branch connects to the truck electronics: the machine computer MCU of the electric RX 60-series and the hydraulic control unit VR, from which Jaltest reads measurement values and ECU data only. The cable works with Jaltest Link V8.1 and V9 and falls under the Jaltest MHE module.

Applications and functions
Via this dual connection, you can access with the Jaltest software both the engine control unit as the truck electronics of the forklift. Which systems are present depends on the series and the power source: diesel, LPG or electric. The units listed below are covered by Jaltest's materials handling equipment coverage.
Control units you can access
- EMR4 - EDC 17 CV52 and EMR4 - EDC 17 CV54, diesel engine control with common rail injection: The engine controls of the newer RX 70 series, with additional functions.
- EDC 15 VM, EDC 16 U31, EDC 17 CP20 (CJDA) and EDC 17 CP20 (CPY), diesel engine control: The engine controls of the R 70 series.
- GCP, engine control unit: The engine control for gas and LPG versions.
- MCU, machine computer: The central machine computer of the electric RX 60 series.
- VR, hydraulic system: The hydraulic control; Jaltest reads measured values and ECU data from this, but not fault codes.
What you can do
- Read and clear fault codes: Access the fault memory of the control unit, with descriptions of detected faults.
- View measured values: The current readings from sensors connected to the control unit, displayed as figures and graphs.
- Consult maintenance data: For the engine controls and the MCU machine computer, with the exception of the EDC 15 VM.
- Perform additional functions: The extra procedures for the EMR4 engine controls of the newer RX 70 series.
Compatible vehicles and applications
The connector type is what matters, not the model. This cable fits any Still forklift with the dual 4+4-pin diagnostic connector under the bonnet. Jaltest covers the series listed below in its materials handling equipment coverage; as internal transport equipment is not subject to OBD requirements, the design with two separate connectors is also found on more recent series still available.

- RX 20 series: Electric forklift truck (approximately 2005 - 2017).
- RX 60 series: Electric forklift truck (approximately 2005 - 2019).
