\nThe Jaltest JDC542A connects the round 9-pin diagnostic connectorof industrial diesel engines fromLiebherr to your Jaltest equipment. On the machine side, there is a round connector with a mint green contact holder and nine contact sockets, which you secure with the locking ring. On the interface side, the cable terminates in the 16-pin OBD2 and the length is 28 to 30 cm.\n
\nThis connection is located on the engine block or in the associated wiring harness, so you can access it stationary installations and aggregates without vehicle diagnostic connector. Behind this, the Jaltest software opens the engine control unit: ECU2-HD, ECU3, LIDEC1 of LH ECU UPCR, depending on the engine type and generation. With the first three, alongside fault codes, measured values and ECU data, there are also the maintenance data in the cover; the LH ECU UPCR lacks these. The cable falls under Jaltest OHW.\n
KEY BENEFITS
IMPORTANT NOTES
Applications and functionality
Through this connection, you can access the engine control unit of the Liebherr engine block using Jaltest software. Which of the four control systems is present depends on the engine type and generation. The units listed below are included in the Liebherr coverage, with each unit offering the functions available for that module.
Control units you can access
- ECU2-HD, engine control unit: With fault codes, live data, ECU information and service data.
- ECU3, engine control unit: The next generation, with identical functions.
- LIDEC1, engine control unit: The Liebherr engine controller with service data included in coverage.
- LH ECU UPCR, engine control unit: With fault codes, live data and ECU information, but without service data.
What you can do
- Read and clear fault codes: Access the fault memory of the control unit, including fault descriptions.
- View live data: Current sensor readings displayed as numerical values and graphs.
- Access service data: Available on ECU2-HD, ECU3 and LIDEC1; not available on the LH ECU UPCR.
Compatible vehicles and applications
The connector type determines compatibility, not the engine model. This cable is designed for industrial diesel engines from Liebherr with the round 9-pin connector. You can identify it by the mint-green contact holder with nine contact sockets; verify this on the engine itself before ordering. The engine models listed below are covered by Liebherr coverage.
Liebherr:
- D 834 (four-cylinder industrial engine)
- D 846 and D 856 (V-engines)
- D 924 (four-cylinder industrial engine)
- D 934 (four-cylinder industrial engine)
- D 936 (six-cylinder industrial engine)
- D 944 and D 946 (V-engines)
