The Jaltest JDC517A connects the older diagnostic connector of Valtra and Valmet tractors to your Jaltest equipment. On the machine side is a round black plug with eight contacts, a ribbed coupling ring and a metal cable clamp with a screw. The eight contacts are arranged in three closely spaced rows in the centre. On the interface side is the 16-pin OBD2; the cable measures 28 to 30 cm.
With this connection, the Jaltest software reads the EEM2 - VP30/VP44 engine control unit, the engine electronics with a distributor injection pump that predates common rail injection. In addition to fault codes and measured values, the service intervals are also covered. The cable belongs to the Jaltest Link V8.1 and is covered by Jaltest AGV.

Applications and functions
The cable is intended for workshops that read older Valtra and Valmet tractors with the Jaltest Link. Through this connection, you only access the engine control unit; on these models, Valtra coverage is limited to the engine.

- Link pairing: Connect the OBD2 side to the Jaltest Link V8.1.
- Switch on ignition: Turn the ignition on.
- Read out: Select Valtra and the series in the Jaltest software.
Compatible vehicles and applications
The plug determines compatibility, not the model. The cable fits any Valtra or Valmet with the round 8-pin diagnostic connector. The series covered by Jaltest AGV coverage are listed below; within the A series and the T series, both this 8-pin and the later 16-pin connector occur.
