The Jaltest JDC217.9 is the cable for machines with the standardised 9-pin Deutsch diagnostic connector type 2. On the machine side is a green round connector with a black coupling ring and nine sockets; on the other end is a 26-pin DB26 connector with a screw flange, which plugs directly into the port of the Jaltest Link V9. As a result, you do not need an OBD2 intermediate cable. The cable is 147.5 to 152.5 cm long.
SAE J1939 defines both the message structure and the diagnostic connector. This connector comes in two versions: the black type 1 for the slower bus and the green type 2 for the faster one, and this is the green one. Because the connector is standardised, the same cable works on agricultural machines, construction machines, internal transport and marine engines. The cable is covered by Jaltest AGV, OHW, MHE, Marine and Multi-Purpose Vehicle.

Applications and functionality
Via the standardised 9-pin Deutsch connector you can access the data network of the machine. What is on it is not a fixed list: a tractor has different units than a excavator or a marine engine. What you can carry out depends on the Jaltest module the machine falls under.

- Read out: Select make and model in the correct module.
Compatible vehicles and applications
The connector determines compatibility, not the brand. The cable is for the standardised 9-pin Deutsch connector type 2 and not for a machine brand. SAE J1939 prescribes the connector, so manufacturers do not deviate from it.
