The Jaltest JDC213E1 is the Ethernet diagnostic cable from the Jaltest range. It is a Y-shaped cable with three connections: two 16-pin OBD2 connectors and a separate RJ45 port. You connect it between the vehicle's diagnostic socket and your Jaltest diagnostic cable; the Ethernet connection runs through the RJ45 branch.
The cable is designed for vehicles where diagnostics operate over Ethernet rather than CAN, and is compatible with Jaltest CV (commercial vehicles) and Jaltest AGV (agricultural vehicles). It features a fixed pin configuration, designated as pin assignment option 1. Whether your vehicle uses this connection depends on that vehicle's network architecture. What you can do with the accessible control units is determined by your Jaltest licence, not by the cable.

Applications and functionality
This cable provides the physical connection between the vehicle and your diagnostic equipment where communication takes place over Ethernet. The OBD2 connector remains available for the standard diagnostic cable; the RJ45 connector carries the network traffic.

- Connect where diagnostics run over Ethernet: A CAN cable will not provide a connection to the vehicle network.
- Loop through the OBD2 connection: You place the cable between the vehicle's diagnostic connector and your Jaltest diagnostic cable.
- Working with pinout option 1: The fixed wiring that comes with this reference.
- Expanding your cable set: In addition to the JDC213.9 for CAN diagnostics via the 16-pin OBD2 connector.
