\nThe Jaltest JDC207A connects the manufacturer-specific 4-pin diagnostic connector of the MAN TG serieswith the16-pin OBD2-input of your Jaltest diagnostic cable. On the vehicle side there is a compact round connectorwith a bayonet ring and a distinctivered inner ring; in the black pen holder behind it, twelve positions are provided, of which four-pin are. The cable measures 28 to 30 cmand the cable works withJaltest Link V8.1 and V9The connection is located in the cab of the TG series.
\nThe cable opens the diagnostic line to the complete CAN-based vehicle network of the TG series, which runs around the central control unit FFR is constructed. This means the equipment at that FFR, at the common rail injection EDC 7 C3/C32and the olderEDC MS 6.1, for the gearboxesAS Tronic and Ecomat 2 and in the brake, retarder, air preparation and exhaust gas systems. The TG series came in 2000 on the market and received from Euro IV (October 2005) the standardised 16-pin OBD2 connector; only model years between these dates feature this 4-pin plug. The cable falls under Jaltest CV (commercial vehicles).\n

Applications and functions
Via this connection, you access the truck's control units using Jaltest software. The TG series operates with a central vehicle control unit, which means the units are networked together and the list is longer than with the 37-pin predecessors. The units below are covered under MAN TG coverage; which ones are present depends on specification and model year.
Control units you can access
- EDC 7 C3/C32 and EDC 7 Master-Slave C3/C32: The engine management system with common-rail injection on the TG series.
- EDC MS 6.1, engine management with in-line injection pump: The engine management on the earliest versions.
- FFR, central vehicle control unit: The control unit around which the CAN network of the TG series is built.
- ZBR2 and ZFR, body computers: Control of body functions, with OBDU as the onboard diagnostic unit.
- AS Tronic and Ecomat 2: The robotised and automatic gearbox.
- EBS 2.2-2.3 Knorr-Bremse, EBS 5 (CAN/K) and EBS 5/5X MAN: The electronic braking systems.
- EST-48, EST-52, PriTarder, Voith and VERA: The auxiliary braking systems of this generation.
- ECAM, electronic air preparation: Control of the compressed air supply.
- HDS/SCR AdBlue and CRT filter: Exhaust gas aftertreatment.
- ATC, BHTC, GKR and KSM VDO: Climate control and the configurable body module.
What you can do
- Read and clear fault codes: Access the fault memory of the control unit with descriptions of detected faults.
- View live data: Current values from sensors connected to the control unit, displayed as figures and graphs.
- Activate components: Directly trigger components to determine whether the fault lies with the component itself or in the wiring.
- Configure parameters: Write configurations and settings to the control unit.
- Perform calibrations: For systems where Jaltest offers a calibration procedure, for example after component replacement.
Compatible vehicles and applications
The connector type determines compatibility, not the model.This cable is designed for the TG series of MAN, which began in 2000 with the TGA. The final year was October 2005, when the standardised 16-pin OBD2-connection for commercial vehicles became mandatory. All MAN vehicles built before the TG series feature the 37-pin connector and fall under the JDC210A.
