The Jaltest JDC207A connects the 4-pin diagnostic connector of the MAN TG series to the 16-pin OBD2 input of your Jaltest diagnostic cable. The vehicle-side end is a compact round plug with a bayonet ring and a red inner ring; in the black pin holder, twelve positions are recessed, of which four are occupied. The cable is 28 to 30 cm long and the connector is located in the cab.
The TG series has a fully CAN-based vehicle network built around the central control unit FFR. With the cable connected, the Jaltest software reaches the FFR, the common rail injection EDC 7 C3/C32, the older EDC MS 6.1, the AS Tronic gearboxes and Ecomat 2, and the brake, retarder, air preparation and exhaust gas systems. The cable works with the Jaltest Link V8.1 and V9 and falls under Jaltest CV.

Applications and functionality
The cable is intended for workshops reading early MAN TG trucks with the Jaltest Link. Because the units are linked via the central vehicle control unit, the list is longer than for the 37-pin predecessors. Which units are present depends on specification and year of manufacture.

Compatible vehicles and applications
The connector is what counts, not the model. The cable matches the TG generation of MAN, which began in 2000 with the TGA. The end year is October 2005, when the 16-pin OBD2 connector became mandatory for trucks. What MAN built before the TG series has the 37-pin plug and falls under the JDC210A.
