The Jaltest JDC204A connects the 16-pin diagnostic connector of Wabco braking systems to the 16-pin OBD2 port of your Jaltest diagnostic cable. On the vehicle side, there is a circular connector with a knurled coupling ring and a numbered pin holder with sixteen positions, of which six are occupied; the cable exits straight out. The cable measures 28 to 30 cm and works with Jaltest Link V8.1 and V9. It is a serial connection, not a CAN coupling.
Once the connection is established, the Jaltest software reaches the vehicle's Wabco brake control unit. This gives the equipment access to the ABS/ASR family (ABS SAE, ABS/ASR C, ABS/ASR D/E, ABS/ASR E (K Line) and ABS/ASR E CAN), the EBS family (EBS Asia, EBS Euro Gen 2, EBS Euro Gen 3 and EBS ZM) and the hydraulic braking systems HABS D and HBS AddOn-E. With these systems, coverage extends beyond reading data: you can control valves and other components directly. The connector belongs to the brake control unit itself and is separate from vehicle diagnostics. The cable falls under Jaltest CV (commercial vehicles).

Compatible vehicles and applications
The brake system is what matters, not the vehicle brand. This cable is compatible with any truck, bus or work machine with a Wabco brake control with 16-pin diagnostic connector. This plug is located on or near the control unit and not at the vehicle's OBD port, so it remains in use on newer vehicles as well. You can identify it by the round coupling ring with numbered positions.
