\nThe Jaltest JDC221A is the cable that ST14D-connector from the security port in Iveco trucks convert to the standard 16-pin OBD2-connection. You do not connect it to the vehicle diagnostic connection on, but directly onto the connector of the security gateway, so that diagnostics do not run through the security port. On the other side, your Jaltest diagnostic cable.\n
\nBehind that gateway lies the complete vehicle network of the heavy-duty Iveco range. Once the connection is established, the equipment accesses the engine control unit and other systems EDC MD1 with Denox 6-HD, the brake control BSM, the body control module BCM, the gearbox Hi-TroniX TraXon and predictive driveline control E-HORIZON. The cable is part of Jaltest CV (commercial vehicles).\n

Applications and functionality
Through this connection, you can access the Jaltest software the vehicle network behind the security gateway. The control units listed below are covered by the S-WAY, T-WAY and X-WAY, the versions in which the security gateway is covered.
Control units you can access
- SGW: The security gateway to which this cable connects.
- EDC MD1 + Denox 6-HD: The engine control unit with common rail injection, combined with exhaust aftertreatment in a single control module.
- BSM: The central brake control unit.
- Hi-TroniX TraXon and Allison 3000/4000 5th Gen: The automated gearbox and automatic transmission.
- Intarder 3 EST-54: The retarder, the auxiliary brake on the drivetrain.
- BCM, EM and ACM: The body control module, the expansion module and the climate control unit.
- VCM and PCM: The vehicle control unit with starter interrupt and the communication module.
- E-HORIZON: The predictive drivetrain control, which looks ahead on the road.
- AHW and IPC: The auxiliary water heater and the instrument cluster.
What you can do
- Read and clear fault codes: Access the control unit's fault memory, including descriptions of detected faults.
- View live data: Display current sensor values connected to the control unit, shown as numerical readings and graphs.
- Actuate components: Directly activate components to determine whether the fault originates from the component itself or from the wiring.
- Parameters, calibrations and maintenance resets: For systems where Jaltest provides these functions.
