\nThe Jaltest JDCOBD2connects the 16-pin diagnostic connector ofHyundai to the 16-pin OBD2 diagnostic cable of the Jaltest Link. This item is a sealed plastic housing measuring 8.7 cmwith at the front a16-pin OBD2 connector with pins, eight on top and eight on the bottom; the diagnostic cable connects to the rear. On the top surface there is a white label with the inscription JDC OBD2, and that inscription is the only difference visible in the photo compared to the three sister variants. You position the entire assembly between the vehicle diagnostic connector and the cable.\n
\nThe connector on these vehicles fits mechanically onto a standard OBD2 cable, but the diagnostic lines are on different pins and the OBD2 standard prescribes; the interface then fails to establish a connection even though the connector clicks into place. This converter restores those lines to the standardised positions, so that the Jaltest Link the control units behind the connection. You can then read fault codes, you can view live measurement values and enter actuator tests out. The item has been discontinued for Link V8.1 and V9 and falls under the Jaltest CV (commercial vehicles) module.\n

Using this converter, you can access the Jaltest software the control units behind the diagnostic connection of the Hyundai vehicle. The content of the communication remains unchanged: the adapter brings the diagnostic lines only to their standardised pin. What appears on screen therefore follows from the Jaltest coverage for that vehicle.

The pin assignment is decisive, not the model. This converter belongs to the Hyundai version of the 16-pin connector; the emblem on the cover tells you nothing about it, the wiring does. You can verify the points below on the vehicle itself.
