The Jaltest JDC557A9 connects the 3-pin diagnostic connector of Hyster and Yale forklift trucks to the 16-pin OBD2 port of your Jaltest diagnostic cable. The machine plug is round, with a black knurled ring over a grey contact holder with three positions (a round one marked in blue, a small round one and a square one) and a black locking clip at the top. Behind the OBD2 connector, the cable splits into two branches; next to the 3-pin machine plug, a thinner cable runs to a round black connector with an angled cable entry.
Hyster and Yale belong to the same manufacturer group and share their electronics, so one cable serves both brands. On the internal combustion trucks, you reach the machine computer VSM, the HLM module and the EDC Yanmar engine control; on the electric XN series, the machine computer MC, the power modules LMC and RMC, the hydraulic control HPC and E-HYDRAULICS and the DCU display. The cable works exclusively with the Jaltest Link V9, the 9 after the reference, and falls under Jaltest MHE.

Applications and functions
Via this connection, the Jaltest software accesses the control units of the truck. Which systems are present varies greatly depending on the drive type. The internal combustion trucks have an engine control, while the electric XN series instead have power modules for traction and lifting.

How to use it
- Locate the plug: Find the 3-pin connector at the driver's position.
- Connect: Insert the JDC557A9 into the connector.
- Link pairing: Connect the OBD2 end to the diagnostic cable of the Link V9.
- Ignition on: Switch the truck's ignition on.
- Read out: Select Hyster or Yale and the series in Jaltest MHE.

The plug determines compatibility, not the model. The cable fits any Hyster or Yale truck with the round 3-pin diagnostic connector at the driver's position. The series covered by Jaltest MHE are listed below.
