The Jaltest JDC609A is the diagnostic cable for Evinrude outboard motors with the manufacturer's 3-pin connector. On the engine side, a grey 3-pin connector sits in a black junction housing; on the interface side, the cable ends in the 16-pin OBD2 socket of your Jaltest diagnostic cable. A power lead with a red and a black wire and battery clamps also runs from the same junction housing, which you use to power the connection from the boat's battery.
With this connection, the Jaltest software reads the engine control and the control electronics: the ECM of the EFI engines from 1999-2001, the EMM of the FICHT RAM and E-TEC engines, the EMM G2 of the E-TEC G2, and the EST, the throttle and shift control of that G2. On the engine controls you get all functions up to and including parameters, calibration and reset; on the EST, live data is not available. The cable falls under Jaltest Marine.

Applications and functionality
Via this connection, the Jaltest software accesses the engine control of the Evinrude outboard motor and, on the latest generation, the throttle and shift control. Which unit you find depends on the engine generation: ECM on the EFI blocks, EMM on FICHT RAM and E-TEC, EMM G2 on the E-TEC G2.

Compatible vehicles and applications
The connector is decisive, not the model. This cable fits any Evinrude outboard motor with the 3-pin diagnostic connection. Evinrude kept that connection across three engine generations, from the EFI blocks of 1999 up to and including the E-TEC G2. It is recognisable by the grey connector with three pins in the black housing.

- EFI series: 40 EFI, 50 EFI and 70 EFI [1999-2001].
- FICHT RAM series: FICHT RAM 75, 90, 115, 135, 150, 175, 200, 225 and 250.
- E-TEC series: E-TEC 15 to E-TEC 300, including the HO versions (15 HO, 90 HO, 115 HO, 135 HO, 150 HO, 200 HO, 225 HO and 250 HO).
- E-TEC G2 series: E-TEC G2 150 to G2 300, including the HO versions.
