The Jaltest 70001007 is the interface cable that connects the Jaltest ETM — the electronic test module for components — to the Jaltest Link V9. On the Link side, it features a D-sub connector with contacts arranged in three rows and screw fastening; on the other side is the connection to the ETM itself. Without this cable, no communication is established between the test module and the Link.
This cable is designed for the Jaltest Link V9 and comes standard in the ETM kit (70001008). If you have an earlier version of the ETM, you cannot connect it with this item but instead use the adapter cable MDC100.9. The ETM operates only with an ETM licence (29701) alongside an active Jaltest software licence; this can be combined with a CV or Modular subscription and is not compatible with Jaltest handheld devices.

Via this cable, the Jaltest ETM communicates directly with the Jaltest Link V9 and thereby with the Jaltest software on your computer. The ETM is the test module with which you can remcomponent measures independently of the vehicle, without the control unit of the vehicle when needed. The points below describe what that combination delivers.

What the ETM does
- Test components:The ETM establishes communication with a brake component as if it were the vehicle's control unit.
- Make a distinction:Whether the component is genuinely faulty or if the fault lies in the wiring or control unit.
- Two test types:Advanced diagnostics for complete EBS modulator systems, including End of Line testing (EOL).
- EBS modulators:The MDC02 to MDC09 cables are designed for the EBS modulators from Knorr-Bremse and Wabco.
- Speed sensors:MDC12 available separately, and MDC13 from the Multipin kit (JTP98).
- Brake pad wear sensors:MDC10 and MDC11 available separately, and MDC14 from the Multipin kit (JTP98).
How this article relates to other ETM components
The ETM is constructed from a testmodule, this interface cable and a range of MDC test cables to the component. Some of those cables are housed in the ETM kit (70001008), the rest you order apart, and for an earlier ETM there is MDC100.9. Below you'll find how it all fits together.
- ETM kit (70001008): This interface cable (70001007) plus the MDC02, MDC03, MDC04, MDC05, MDC06, MDC07, MDC08 and MDC09 cables for Knorr-Bremse and Wabco EBS modulators.
- Available separately: MDC10 and MDC11 for brake pad wear sensors, and MDC12 for speed sensors.
- MDC100.9: The adapter cable that connects an earlier ETM version to the Jaltest Link V9.
- Multipin kit (JTP98): Designed to measure a wider range of speed and brake pad wear sensors. In addition to the individual multipins, this kit includes MDC13 for speed sensors and MDC14 for wear sensors.
