On the engine side there is one wide, flat 96-pin connectorthat you can use with ared lever locks onto the control unit. On the other end is a black plastic housing with the 16-pin OBD2-connection and the label JDCM2350. The cable between them is short and is shown looped once in the product photograph.\n
This is aphysical componentthat we send you and it is included withJaltest Central Services: A service based on pay per use, whereby Jaltest technicians can remotely perform functions that are not possible with a standard diagnostic device, such as reprogramming certain control units. For Cummins, that is the Cummins calibration update (70810000), for which a minimum ofsoftware version 24.1 is required. The ATS department may require you to have such a cable harness. To subscribe to Central Services, your Jaltest Link version V7 or newer are; the services are charged at credits (71101082).\n

The ECM type is what matters, not the engine series or vehicle make.This cable harness is designed for the Cummins ECM CM2350 and CM2450 with the 96-pin connection. With these isolation cable harnesses, no engine or vehicle coverage is specified: there is no list of engine series or vehicle makes to check whether the cable harness will work in your situation. What counts is the control unit nameplate and the number of pins on the connector.
