With the Jaltest pressure test kit (50007006) you pressurise the cooling system. Using the hand pump, you bring the cold circuit up to pressure via the filler opening or the expansion tank, and the pressure gauge shows whether that pressure holds. If the needle drops, coolant is escaping somewhere: from a hose, a gasket, the radiator or a water jacket.
The case contains the pump with pressure hose and quick coupling, plus seven adapters: Six aluminium screw-in adapters of increasing diameter and a differently designed black adapter. The set is intended for trucks from DAF, MAN, Mercedes-Benz, Scania and Volvo, and for agricultural machines from New Holland. The case weighs 3,000 grams.

Applications and functionality
A loss of pressure in the cooling system is often not visible with the engine off: the leak may be too small, or it may be behind a heat shield. By pressurising the cold circuit to overpressure, you force the leak to show, while the pressure gauge indicates whether the system remains sealed.

- Read: Follow the needle and look for the wet spot.

The filler neck is decisive, not the model. The adapter must fit the filler opening or the expansion tank; the badge on the grille says little about this. For this reference, the following brands are listed as applications.
