The Jaltest JDC519A connects the diagnostic port of Claas and Renault tractors to your Jaltest equipment and splits at the machine end into two branches, each with four pins. The first branch is a flat 4-pin connector with a red contact carrier, a yellow sealing ring and a black locking clip. The second is a round 4-pin connector, entirely black, with a ribbed coupling ring and four contacts in a diamond shape. The interface end is the 16-pin OBD2; the cable measures 28 to 30 cm.

With this connection, the Jaltest software reaches the DE-10 engine control unit with radial piston injection pump, the QUADRISHIFT/TWINSHIFT gearbox controls, REVERSHIFT-B41, EHM 24 and TRAX, the ELECTROPILOT valve control, the TCE lift units and the DBD2 instrument panel. The cable works with the Jaltest Link V8.1 and V9 and is covered by Jaltest AGV.

POINTS TO NOTE

✕The TCE9 lift unit of the CELTIS is listed in the coverage, but does not offer any diagnostic functions.
✕The service intervals are accessed via the DBD2 instrument panel; they are not available for the engine and gearbox control units.
✕Only for the 4+4-pin connection; the same tractor family also exists with a 14-pin connector, for which the JDC525A is intended.
✕The machine end is fixed to a flat 4-pin and a round 4-pin connector. If the shape on your tractor differs, this cable will not fit.

Applications and functions

The cable is intended for workshops reading out tractors from the Renault Agriculture range and the later Claas versions. Which control units are fitted varies by series and version; the ARES and the CELTIS have a different gearbox control than the NECTIS.

How to use it

  1. Locate connectors: Find the flat and the round 4-pin connector in the cab.
  2. Connect: Connect both branches of the JDC519A.
  3. Link pairing: Connect the OBD2 side to the Jaltest Link.
  4. Switch on ignition: Turn the ignition on.
  5. Read out: Select Claas or Renault and the series.

Compatible vehicles and applications

The connector is decisive, not the model. The cable fits every tractor from the Renault Agriculture range and the later Claas versions where the flat and the round 4-pin connector are located side by side. The series in the Jaltest AGV coverage are listed below; the 14-pin version of the same family is not covered.

Good to know: The machine end consists of two connectors in the cab. A flat connector with red contact carrier and yellow seal, and a round black connector with ribbed coupling ring. The same tractor family also exists with a 14-pin connector (JDC525A). Check on the tractor itself which connection is fitted before ordering.
