The Jaltest JDC530A connects the 8-pin round diagnostic connector of Claas combine harvesters and the Xerion series to the 16-pin OBD2 port of your Jaltest diagnostic cable. On the machine side is a compact chrome-plated metal plug with a knurled nut and 8 gold-plated pins, seven in a ring around one centre pin. The cable measures 28 to 30 cm.

Through this connection, the Jaltest software gains access to the machine network. You can reach the ADM 2 / ADM 3 engine interface, the VBM and XIF on-board computers, the MR unit pump system and the Caterpillar engine control units, the transmission, the SCR aftertreatment and the threshing control units SAM, RTR, RSM, GUA and YMM. How many of these are present varies by series. The cable is specified for the Jaltest Link V8.1 and falls under Jaltest AGV.

HIGHLIGHTS

POINTS TO NOTE

✕Specified for the Jaltest Link V8.1. Under reference number JDC530A9, the same 8-pin Claas cable is available as a separate version.
✕Only for the 8-pin connector; for the 7-pin version on the same machines, the JDC529A is intended.
✕The two plugs look very similar. Count the pins in the outer ring; seven around a centre pin is this cable, six around a centre pin is the JDC529A.
✕Which systems you can reach depends greatly on the series; a MEGA only runs ADM 2/3, the MR engine control and SCR, and the Xerion's lifting system EHC has more limited capabilities.

The cable is intended for workshops and contracting businesses that read out Claas combine harvesters and the Xerion. Which control units are present differs greatly by series and year of manufacture; a MEGA has a handful, a LEXION well over twenty.

  3. Connecting: Tighten the JDC530A with the knurled nut.
  4. Link pairing: Connect the OBD2 side to the Jaltest Link V8.1.
  5. Reading out: Ignition on, select Claas and the series.
